This is probably unique, Sonny Levi designed Corsair. Unlike the normal sports boat "About Time" built in 1975 with glass fibre hull and superstructure, has twin six cylinder Ford diesels on shafts and is a fast fisher/workboat layout. The Corsair was designed with the legendary Levi deep vee hull (26 degree deadrise) as a dual purpose cruising and racing boat, very seaworthy and capable of making good progress even in rough seas. The design is so good they are still in production.
There are two bunks forward with an opening round hatch in the forward deck. Aft of those a small galley to port with a sink and Origo twin burner alcohol stove and to starboard a heads compartment with sea toilet and hand basin. Both have standing headroom. The wheelhouse is open backed (with a removable canvas cover), helm to port and a table and seating to starboard, further seating space on the engine boxes. There is a large cockpit, trimmed with varnished wood, with plenty of space for fishing and high sides with rails for safety. There is an electric windlass on the starboard side of the cockpit with the anchor arranged to be worked from it. There are side decks both sides allowing easy access to the foredeck. On the stern is a teak and stainless steel bathing platform. Bennett trim tabs are fitted. Runs economically at 6-7kn and will cruise at 15-16kn. In 2009 she had a significant refit including new decks, silencers, woodwork and plastic fuel tanks.
Opportunities to buy a Levi Corsair are very rare, one like this is even rarer!
